Eligibility

  1. Grant requests will only be considered for K-12 public school districts, charter schools, and private or independent schools operating in the United States of America.
  2. Grant requests are limited to one application per school semester. Each application may include one or more of the organization’s record series: Student Records, Special Education (Populations) Records, Human Resource Records, and Administrative Records.
  3. Requesting organization must be actively engaged in discussions of a conversion project with Yellow Folder, LLC for eligibility. Grant awards are strictly limited to the conversion of an organization’s physical records to digital format by Yellow Folder, LLC.

General Exclusions

The Foundation does not provide:

  • Grants to individuals.
  • Grants to organizations that are not K-12 school districts, charter schools and private, independent K-12 schools operating in the United States of America.
  • Grants that are not directly related to the conversion of an eligible organization’s physical records to digital format by Yellow Folder, LLC.

Application Process

  1. All applicant organizations must complete either an online or printed grant application located on efficiencyineducation.org.
  2. The application must reference an active proposal from Yellow Folder, LLC, listing the total number of boxes the qualifying organization intends to convert to digital format.
  3. After review, the Efficiency in Education Foundation will notify the applicant whether the proposal meets eligibility guidelines for an award. If the application meets the eligibility guidelines, the foundation may issue an award to the organization, subject to the Grant Award Process.

Not All Projects Can Be Funded

The Board of Directors of the Efficiency in Education Foundation has responsibility for the final approval of each grant. Since the Foundation receives funding requests far in excess of its ability to fund, only a small portion of requests can be approved. All decisions on grants by the Foundation are at its sole discretion and are final.

No Commemorative Gifts, Please

The Efficiency in Education Foundation desires that all resources of any receiving organization be dedicated to accomplishing its educational mission. Accordingly, the Efficiency in Education Foundation requests that the receiving organization not recognize the foundation, its board members, or staff with any commemorative gifts.
